Cabo Frio upgrades public lighting service requests with an app and numbered poles
Residents now report an outage through the official app and follow the request until it is closed.
Cabo Frio’s public lighting is entering a new stage of modernization. Residents now have a dedicated app to file maintenance requests — luminaires that are out, flickering or faulty — making the service faster and better organized.
In the app, users can give the address of the problem or enter the pole’s identification number. Once filed, the request goes to the responsible crews through an integrated system, and progress can be followed in the app itself.
The change is part of the city’s public lighting modernization, which covers the upgrade of 38,000 light points, replacing conventional luminaires with LED technology, changing the pole brackets and installing new identification plates.
While people adapt to the new system, the Disk Iluminação hotline also remains available on +55 22 3318-0024, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm. The number also accepts text messages on WhatsApp.
The “Cabo Frio Iluminação Pública” app is available free for Android and iOS, widening the channels of communication with residents and contributing to more efficient management of the public lighting network.
